In the last break for Fiber Factor I was putting together a wee care package for one of my SFAMs (Sisters From Another Mister) who just moved house and had several presents for her and her two bairnies, but nothing for her husband. It felt a bit mean to send everyone but him a present, but I didn’t have any masculine socks in my Long Term Planning Box.
So I raided the Work-In-Progress pile (surprisingly small at the moment) and finally finished some socks I started in Fall 2011. I know I started them then because I got the yarn at a wonderful yarn store in Rhode Island, which has since moved, changed names, and owners. It’s SweetGeorgia Tough Love Sock, and it’s marvelous.
The pattern is a fairly straightforward one I improvised. When I started the socks in 2011 I thought I was going to write the pattern for them, but it’s so simple it hardly seems worth it. It’s definitely a great little men’s sock though, and I’ll be making more of them! They’re just nice blue socks.
I hope my SFAM’s husband likes them. And that they fit. Is he my BILFAM?
